The surface is just paper and buckles as soon as you paint it. A complete waste of money.

These wood panels came with cracks, uneven surfaces and are poorly made. They’re not suitable for art.

I have been ordering canvas boards from Amazon for about a year. This set from this brand was the least quality of all the ones I ordered. They will work, because I am just painting studies. However, two of my boards were slightly warped and they all had excessive wood shavings stuck to the sides that I have to sand. Also they are supposed to be 8x8 inches but they are 7 3/4 inches. Not too big of a deal, but I will not order this brand again.

Smooth finish. Frame isn't as deep as other brands but works for what I need.

I have bought these over 6 times already. They are awesome to work with. I have recently started playing with string art and these are sturdy and easy to manage. They are easy to spray paint and when hammering the nails they don't break. To hang them, either buy some picture hanging sawtooth or add two screws to the wall. The lip in the back is around 5/8" so if you leave the screw about 1/2" out you will be fine.
