I have good eyesight, but really, the details for medicines and instructions for a new product or two-- is getting to be a quite a challenge to read! (Talk about TINY words... let me tell you!)I stumbled on this petite glass (not plastic-- hooray!), 10x magnifier while searching for something else on Amazon, and ordered it on the spot. Best.Decision.EVER!This little gem arrived with a well fitted cover, to better protect the magnifier from bangs and scratches, and has a really nice neck strap to wear it around your neck. The improved visibility was terrific, to put it mildly, as other magnifiers I had were only 3x in magnification, making this a good buy. Need I mention this magnifier cost only $3.99 at the time of this review? Talk about great savings to boot! I have bad eyes, and its getting worse as I get older, so this helps me read small print stuff, this is small and light it fits in my pocket and wallet, though because its small I misplace it sometimesits a good value at this price, I like mine and will likely buy it again when I loose my current one haha

I didn't expect this to be as useful as it turned out to be. I have used a pair of more 'traditional' magnifying glasses for projects with lots of very intricate details, such as surface prep and paint for model cars - often as small as typical Hotwheels size (1/64th scale). Those magnifying glasses don't work nearly as well if you already wear regular glasses. This magnifying glass solves that problem.The magnifying glass has a ring of LED lights around the perimeter. They have 3 different brightness settings. At the highest setting they put out a decent amount of light. Nothing too blinding, but definitely enough to help you see what you are working on.The magnifying glass itself is a good size, covering a nice size area, without getting in the way of what you are working on. It also has a secondary, higher magnification 'bubble' at the base where it connects to the neck mount for extra intricate details.The neck mount is great, with good overall length. It retains whatever shape you bend it without sagging. The lens can be detached from the posable neck mount.Definitely recommended if you spend any amount of time on crafts with highly detailed or intricate parts. These will make your projects easier and more enjoyable without getting in the way!

I sent this to my 90-year-old mother, whose eyesight is not that great. She said the holder that goes around the neck is stiff plastic and not easy to adjust. She reported the light and magnifying glass do help if the item she is trying to see is in the right position. She said because it's hard to adjust, when she wants to type on her laptop, it is difficult to position it to see the keys, and she can't put the laptop in a different position or she can't type!
