This tool is useful when your kingpen doesn’t want to budge and you dont want to use a lot of energy! It comes with a bag to carry and a handle to pull on for your convenience! This was a life saver for me and very affordable.

I really wish they'd go back to doing a full solid bar instead of these screw on types. The seller claims that it will not loosen easily once screwed together but that is a lie. Any slight twist will loosen the halves easily so overtime I can't see this bar lasting very long.The build quality of the metal is very rough and doesn't feel smooth at all. Once you screw the two halves together the hook and the handle bar aren't even parallel.A bunch of sellers on Amazon are now selling the screw on types of fifth wheel pullers, but I'd avoid them until they offer a solid one piece like they used to.

2023-01-21. AUTOSwpozo 5th Wheel Pin Puller (2-pack)Wow. I was very surprised at how solid these pin pullers are when I received them. Made of 3/8" solid steel and chrome plated, these pin pullers are 0.4" in diameter and weight almost 5 lbs! They came in two pieces, which I did not really notice when I looked through the pictures, but after putting it together, I don't see or feel any issues with a weak joint.The handle is 1" in diameter, and while I was hoping it would be a one-piece cast, it's actually welded to the upper body. This does bring up some concern to it's durability (this pin puller will be pretty useless without the handle...), but after a closer look, it appears to be TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welded on, so I'm pretty certain there are no issues with weld penetration (weld penetration directly affects the strength of the weld itself. A fully penetrated weld will leave no gap between the two parts being welded.)The last notable about this pin puller is the chrome plating. Chrome plating steel has several benefits; aside from the obvious strengthening, chrome is excellent in preventing corrosion, resists scratches, and is super easy to clean, and a well chrome plated item can last decades. But chrome is also not perfect. Chrome is subject to wear just like everything else. And with this type of use, it's definitely high wear. But in this situation, the chrome plating definitely has more pros than cons.Overall, I'm very hopeful with this pin puller. It's priced higher than others, but I think the quality in both materials and manufacturing justify it. While only time will tell, all visible signs indicate that I'll get much use from it.

This 5th wheel release hook seems to be well made and is split apart during shipping. Screw both pieces together, and you get the tool pictured in the listing. I know that this tool is not used for the motion of bending it horizontally and rather for pulling, but if you were to bend it horizontally hard enough, it seems like the screw area is a weak point and it could bend there if enough force or pressure was made to bend it horizontally.Nonetheless, the diameter should be durable enough for pulling a 5th wheel release hook or a manhole cover. This set has a nice chrome finish and appears durable enough to withstand wear and tear. The one con that I see is that upon screwing both pieces, the hook and handle do not line up right.

I ordered it for truck, it worked fine for 45 days and then just broke. I thought it would be a good quality but no.

Ok, so how do I review this? First I wanted this for another use. I am just under 5ft tall. I got a new rain shower head with a handheld unit. Love it! However, I am too short to be able to move the adjustable control at the top to choose which way I want the water to come out.I saw this item with the hook on the end and thought it was perfect!!! I can use this to grab onto that adjustable part of the shower head. Well, I was wrong, I did not even try. I opened this and it's really heavy and solid. I can be clumsy and I knew if I had this over my head and could not hold it up, it might come back and hit me in the head. Being found in my shower passed out or worse is not a chance I wanted to take. ( cause of death ) "Stupidity!" lolNow for its actual use that it was intended for. My husband is a long-distance trucker and I am sure this will come in handy for him. The item comes with two. So what will I do with the other one? Maybe while cooking I can use it for the smoke alarm, not sure, but hey I am crafty so I will think of something. lol
