This tool set is pretty handy for auto repair and wiring tasks. The five-piece set includes everything you need for wire insertion and threading. It’s useful for making connections and handling small wires. The tools are durable and get the job done, though they can be a bit tricky to use if you’re not familiar with them. Overall, a good set for DIY repairs and maintenance.

Let me first start off by saying, this product while it does "work" for insertion purposes, it is not well made. By that, I mean that you can easily press through a grommet, or some other surface for purposes of being able to feed wire through, or whatnot. It comes apart at the lower part of the puncture part, not the threaded part into the handle, but the "needle" side comes out of the threaded part.When in tight places, like on vehicles and under dashboards, that is not a good thing, because it makes it very difficult to retrieve it. Especially when it is in a tight piece of rubber in a dark area... Other that it coming apart on each of the sizes, it is relatively sturdy, I like the feel of the handle piece itself as it is easier to pressure through tough surfaces. But I would not purchase this again based on my experiences.

I do a lot of accessory installation on vehicles for Customer and friends. I had a tool similar to this ,but, the handle was plastic and the tube did not come out. I like the fact that this is all metal and the different sizes of Piercing heads. The tips are sharp enough to go through all of the rubber grommets I have tried and I have not had to struggle to get it to go through. This is a great addition to my tool box and I hope I never loose them.

And this by FAR the worst tool I’ve ever purchased. So dull I don’t think it’d be able to pierce through cloth. Then when you manage to pierce the gasket after it pushes the gasket in 10 times and a pulled muscle, it breaks apart, requiring you to get pliers to pull it out.

Excellent method of feeding wires through existing grommets. The amount of effort needed can be greatly reduced by the simple application of a little dielectric grease which reduces the friction on both inserting and removing the tool, which also reduces the drag on the wires and helps seal the grommet again after.
