I wish I had gotten the full package as is now listed. I purchased the tips only, which was the listing at the time. I thought my soldering iron would accept these tips but wrong size.With the upgrade of the current listing, the package would be extra handy.

I saw a YouTube video awhile ago about fixing plastic everyday items. In that video a guy was using a glue gun and home made tips for it. That and some zip ties and other household items to “weld” plastic. So when I saw these I couldn’t believe it. This kit even has one that has a tube to feed a zip tie through like a welding rod. I can’t wait to try it out. Waiting for something plastic to break! I used it on some junk plastic and it worked perfectly. Just have to not press too hard or have the temp too high. Worked great!Highly recommend this item as well as watching the plastic welding hacks on YouTube.

I received the plastic welding kit and it comes with three welding shoes, one with the ability to feed filler rod, or reinforcing fiber through it, and two conical tips. They are of solid construction and the shafts are .217-.219 OD. They should easily fit an iron that takes .250 tips.

I bought these because I watched videos on plastic welding to fix items that have cracked. I ended up using it on a discontinued Britta filtered water container. I'm happy to say that the container now holds water without leaking. I do recommend these!

I’m in my super-conscious phase again and that includes radical reuse and recycle as much and as often as humanly possible. That said, this set is supporting my endeavors by giving plastics a new life of practical use instead of sending it to the landfill. I’m so happy with my order.
