Just had to grind it thinner and take the old bolts and put on new and boom….need a smaller size just not easy to navigate in their website so this is my solution after the second attempt of buying a tip

I went to use my fathers vintage 60 year old Weller S-500 soldering gun only to find the tip was in bad condition. I couldn't even get it to heat up/melt the solder. Turn's out the 7250N fits perfectly, even the thread were the same size and pitch. I thought for sure it would be incorrect standard (English vs. Metric)Even though the gun may be more than 60 years old, it still works great. Old tools are the best.

I was really happy to see I could still get a tip for my trusty old Weller soldering gun. I've had it since 1981, and it still works. The tip had seen better days and was pitted and bent up, so I searched for and found this new tip. I should have replaced it years ago. It may be my imagination, but the new clean tip seems to be heating up much faster. It is a perfect fit. Thank you, Weller, for supporting your products.
