These rods are perfect for hobbies, crafts and general machining, as long as they are used inside. I only wish they were stainless for use in bird feeders I make. Chrome is great but just doesn't hold up in exterior applications.

The chrome-plated carbon steel rods are exactly what I needed for my 3D printing projects. At 305 mm long, they’re the perfect length for connecting and securing pieces from extra-large prints. I do small home-shop metal projects. I ordered these to use as stock for different projects. They are dimensionally consistent and have a nice surface. I am using them as positioning pins (so far) for jigs and tooling. Love handing these on stock for different projects.

These 8mm diameter, 10” length chrome plated carbon steel rods are destined to be used with 608 rollerblade bearings as shafting for a small outdoor rover robot. The rods came in the correct dimension, straight, and without any nicks or rust.These rods are both good quality and useful.

These rods are dimensionally accurate and fit onto 626ZZ bearings perfectly. They are not pure stainless and will attract magnets. I find them to be solid and was able to cut them down to the size I need.Overall these are exactly as described and work very well.
