As in all SMB the factory set up is sub par . The SMB is good quality material and has a nice reflector band at the top of the SMB . The bolt snap is decent. The spool has nice grip groves cut into the side to give you good positive grip. The line on the spool is the down fall . Too small about 1/16 in diameter. Too thin to manage with gloves and would not trust the line for any other diving use . Will have to reline the spool with better line. Would of given 5 stars but because the line is so cheep it only get 3 out of 5 from me. If you don't mind changing the line out it's a decent set for the price.

Cuando lo recibí se veía fuerte, el carrete es de metal y si no usas guantes te puede cortar ya que es áspero, la cuerda o línea está bien. El tubo se revento con dos usadas, se corto a unos lados en varias partes.No recomiendo que lo compres

Looks and works like it should, one nice thing is the string is already tied around the spool so you don't need to unwind it to just tie it on. all in all it feels like any other SMB out there.

I bought this combo before a long dive trip. I used the SMB everyday multiple times and worked every time; however, the opening at the bottom did not work well with octo inflation. I had to use manual breaths which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Everything about the SMB worked perfectly. Some may consider this setup bulky because of the reel size. I am not a fan of small finger reels that can easily be dropped. This reel is big and easy to hold onto underwater. This reel does not come overloaded with excess line. The proper amount of flat woven line is adequate and I did not have to remove any excess. I used this SMB in warm water diving, but the reel size would be perfect for cold water diving if gloves were worn.

I bought this mainly for the spool and flat line. I already have a few DSMB's. The spool is great with the flat line. The DSMB left a bit to be desired. When they sewed the velcro roll up strap for the dsmb they missed half of the strap. So it is hanging on only with half the stitching. Not a big deal. Nothing a loop of bungy to hold the dsmb together won't fix. Just a bit of shoddy QC.

It's very very well and I anticipate that it's going to stand up to the abuse of diving for a long time. Hopefully this is the last one I'll buy.

I like this bouy marker! I can string my fishes to it and extra spear plus it markes where I'm at in the water with it's very bright orange color which is awesome, really worth it's value and buying this bouy marker is must have for some spear diver's like myself.
