These were a bit pricey for what they are, but were in ok shape overall. Only one had a tip broke off, otherwise they arrived in good shape.I thought the holder could have had a washer on the back of it to help it hold better to the cage. I can go get one simple enough from a hardware store, but for the price, it really should come with one. Holds cuttlebone securely otherwise, and my green cheek will decide if I get again. So far he isn't interested, but hopefully that will change [new things take time, or perhaps he doesn't need calcium yet].

I've had parakeets for years. The average cuddle bone is thin and comes with a small metal clasp. This cuddle bone is substantial i.e. thick and comes with a nice holder and stand.

Been buying cuddle bones from this vendor for my African Grey many times. The CBs are fantastic but I haven’t been able to find a good way to attach them so that my parrot doesn’t immediately get them unattached. This holder has just 1 small little plastic washer that’s much too small for any medium sized or large cage. It also only tightens so much before it slips so you cannot get it secured tightly…. It simply will not work… at all. I tried it on both the vertical and horizontal bars in every possible place. See all of my attached photos. Also, see my remedy photos. The only and I mean ONLY way to truly secure these to a larger cage for a large, strong parrot is by creating a hole in the bottom of the bone and threading a large screw directly thru it that can then be secured with metal pieces on the other side. See my pics!! Keep buying the bones but don’t bother with the holder unless you’ve got a real small bird and small cage.

I’m not going to taste or smell the cuttlebone, but my boy is ok with it so that works. The holder doesn’t really hold it, the cutter bone just sits there and can be easily removed. The holder can be easily removed. Holder isn’t that great but the cuddle bone is big so that’s a plus.
