    Came with no directions had to find a tutorial online —/ Took almost 40 minutes to remove glass. Then another 40 to pry battery gently out- put in battery and it doesn’t power up! Now I have to take it somewhere and probably pay a fortune to get it working! What a waste of money and time!

    Editing my review. It was great at first. But after only 4 months the battery has died and won’t hold a charge for even 10 minutes. 100% down to 1% that fast, not ok. Rather buy a new tablet that’ll last at least a few years than a new battery every 3-4 months.Original review:My son’s Amazon fire table had been dying and couldn’t hold a charge for more than a couple hours. I’m not tech savvy at all but was able to look up a video for taking apart the tablet and install this new battery. All the tools I needed were in the kit and it was a pretty easy process actually. Now his tablet lasts all day on a single charge. I’m so glad I tried this instead of buying a whole new tablet.

    Purchased item used to save a few bucks. Delivery was about 3 weeks, but I could wait. Upon arrival inserted battery and charged for 4 hours. No charge accrued. Checked voltage on pins on tablet - good voltage on all power pins (1,2,5,6). Thought I might not have pressed the cable in firmly. Re-tried, charged it again - no power. Re-tested pins on tablet, all tested fine. Sending this used unit back. Amazon making me print label - ARGHHH!! So, while waiting for printer ink now, I purchased a different manufacturer's battery that matched the original part number. PRIME DELIVERY!! Inserted, that newer battery and it powered unit right up. Make sure to match your original battery number with your replacement. This used unit looked like it would increase my Amp hours, but the circuitry board might have failed - again it was used. It should have at least taken a charge, but did not. The tools that came with it were pretty worn and un-usable (again it was used), so fortunately I already had others for PC work. Sending it back. A new one of these might work for you.
