This bucket heater is great for warming oil and hydraulic fluid in cold weather to make pouring much easier. The warmer has a range of 86 to 300 degrees, it has a built in thermostat and rheostat. There are springs that cinch it tight onto the bucket surface for heating. The bucket heater is a tough little tool.

We use several of these from another vendor in our company, but they are the same product. So, this is just an additional unit. As always, they work as expected to warm our small production VATS of liquid products.

I bought this for my forge quench barrel. Warming up your quench oil or water helps prevent warping and cracking in your steel when dipped.The second you start turning the dial it gets hot quick. The coils are close together and spread evenly through out the entire strap. The only thing I don't care for is that the thermostat dial is in celsius only.

Using this on a barrel for drying washed biodiesel easy hits the 120F target for drying and keeps it at a consistent temperature. Much faster than using open drying methods. This is solidly built and I expect it will last a while.

I have the 5-gallon version of this drum heater. It fits 5-gallon paint and spackle buckets. I tested it during a recent cold spell here. I usually keep all our 5-gallon containers in the garage. Some of the roof coatings are very expensive. So, I put this heater on an inexpensive full spackle bucket. The pricy stuff came inside. The garage went down to 17F overnight. The spackle stayed at the 60F I had the heater set for. I actually checked the temp with a long digital thermometer in the morning. Now I’m comfortable using this drum heater on the roof coatings. It’s actually in use right now, keeping a bucket from freezing this week.So, a useful product and a good value.

I used this on a 30 gallon drum and it is now a perfect fermentor. I can make wine and meade at a much better volume and it really cuts down on time.
