Seems well made. I use this to power my house thru the generator transfer switch connection instead of running my generator late at night. I plug it into a power inverter to run critical loads like fridge furnace some lights. Yes I can’t run everything or if you have 220v items on your transfer switch it won’t work due to both lines are on the same phase but it works well for my needs

We use this adapter to connect our Honda EU2000i generator to the house when the power is out. We have an electrician-installed panel which ensures a generator cannot be connected to the house while the house is connected to the grid. This is important for the safety of power company Linemen.

If you have a NEMA L14-30R, 4 Prong 30 Amp twist lock inlet for your backup generator hookup, this adapter is a must.When you need to run 120V and 240V circuits during an outage, you of course run your larger generator to accomplish this. But if there are extended periods of time you don't need to run anything with 240 volts, only a couple of 120V circuits (refrigerator, freezer, lights, etc..), it doesn't make sense to keep running the larger generator and waste much needed fuel. This adapter allows you to run a smaller generator to power both sides of the junction box for 120V circuits, which will save a considerable amount of fuel compared to constantly using the larger generator. Another upside to using a smaller generator when permissible (especially an inverter generator), is that they are considerably more quiet and will draw less unwanted attention.Now I just want to stress the fact that you won't be able to run anything that requires 240V while using this adapter, so you should flip off all 240V circuit breakers when using it. You also won't be able to run multiple high wattage appliances or items at the same time (e.g. microwave, coffee maker, hair drier, power tools, etc..) while using the adapter. If you do, you'll more than likely pop the circuit breaker on the generator, because it's basically a 15 or 20 amp circuit that's powering up everything. I have run a refrigerator, small freezer, a few lights and the TV simultaneously while using it without any issues.

I received this adapter today, it came well packaged and is just what I expected. It works exactly as it should and seem well made. It worked good on my UPS to a regular 5-16POverall, this purchase perfectly matches its description, and I am extremely satisfied with the product. I have a L14-30R inlet on my house and box trailer to connect a generator. I could get away with a lesser plug like 5-15R but prefer a more future proof inlet. I also like having the same inlet on both items. This quality cord adapts me to a good old 5-15 plug where I can use an old fashioned extension cord instead of getting out my bulky L14-30 power cord.
