I like that the item was packaged so carefully because the wine glass itself is rather delicate, just as you want in your wine glasses. The shape is ideal for enjoying a rose or white wine, precisely what a friend of mine drinks, and she'll be turning 60 later this year, so the fact that it identifies clearly that 1965 was a vintage year is perfect as one of her gifts. I hadn't expected the glass to be quite so reflective: when I took a photo of the glass itself, I could see myself reflected in the glass taking a photo of the glass. But that's fine for the person who's using the glass for drinking rather than taking photos of it. I think she'll be quite pleased for it -- and I wish I were born in a year that has the date of one of these wine glasses so I could order one for myself too! The rose gold shimmers and is a pretty color, and the glass could just as readily be used for morning juice or water throughout the day, so even those who don't drink wine can appreciate this glass.

Oh my goodness, I am in awe at how beautiful this tumbler is! So, there's the color of the cup itself (darker but transparent), and then the lighter vintage-rose color that covers over that, leaving the designed area to be see-through, and it's such a lovely touch. I love how the light passes through and reflects off - it's honestly so pretty. I reluctantly ran mine through the dishwasher (because some days are harder than others and I can't always bring myself to hand-wash dishes), and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it hadn't harmed the cup AT ALL. Now, I'll certainly be hand-washing most of the time, to preserve the life of this gorgeous tumbler for as long as possible; but it's nice to know that on bad days, I can trust it to make it through a dishwashing cycle. Hands-down, one of my favorite cups that I now own.

This is a very nice glass. The outer design is very shiny with nice writing. It was hard to get good pictures because of its mirror like reflectoin. The glass is very thin. You may or may not like that, but I like it. The bottom of the glass is flat, but grooved. I included a picture of the top and the bottom of the glass for reference.This will make a great gift for that someone. The price is reasonable.
