Biomed Spin Columns are packed with silica membranes to rapidly purify using a silica-based extraction method.
The columns can be used to purify singleor double-stranded from contaminants such as salts, solvents, enzymes or proteins. Nucleic acids are binded to the silica resins under high chaotropic salt concentrations, salts and impurities are removed during the wash step.
Pure is eluted from the membrane using water or TE buffer.
This isolation method of is faster and easier to perform than other organic-based extraction methods.
The Spin Column complete with attached lid and with 2-ml collection tubes, it is really convenient to use.

I did a side by side comparison between these, New England Biolabs, and Qiagen.I am all for saving money whenever I can, but these are just not worth it. Very poor yield and purity. (NEB was the best, but very similar to Qiagen)

I needed some small tubes to fit my mini centrifuge. These fit the bill PERFECTLY. They're well made and come well packaged, too. Good stuff!
