These really are great.If I can help with use.Strip and position the wires as needed.Crimp (easy squeeze with pliers ) the solder ring to hold in place.I use a heat gun and have found that holding a spoon on the opposite side of the heat gun about an inch away. Really helps melt the solder.

Product shrinks well, but even using a pencil style heat gun, the thin ring of solder doesn’t melt well and isn’t really enough to bond the wires together. Make sure you solder your wires the old fashioned way before using this to protect it.

The solder in these but connector melt easily and the complete connector is very stonge and water proof if used correctly. Well recomended

Took a chance on these as they are much cheaper than the ones I normally buy locally. Purchased both 12-12 and 14-16. The solder used in these does not melt as it should, requiring me to shrink the material with a heat gun and then use a butane torch to carefully melt the solder, i say carefully because the heat shrink will burn while trying to get the solder hot enough to melt leaving holes. Using only the heat gun, the insulation on the wire would start to turn brown from the heat before the solder melted. For use at the bench I can utilize the butane torch to connect wires and overcome this, but while working in the frame rails this is not an option.. Went back and purchased the ones locally, while they are about 3 times the price, they function properly. You get what you pay for.

I think these connectors are the best that have been made for wires. The salter inside the connectors are very easy to melt and the two white ringsInside the connectors melt quickly to seal each side of the connector.Note it is better to have a heat gun that puts out 600 degrees or more heat to easily dissolve the solder.
