Bought the long-syringe version (not the extensible) and it’s almost impossible to attach the suction bulb to the tube. Will be returning it.

I use this to create a suction that grabs old food and waste that has been sitting on sand for months. Little by little and my tank sand/gravel is looking very clean.

The bulb is not sized correctly to siphon the amount of liquid it is supposed to be able to. (= does not suck like it’s supposed to…which means it sucks). It does not hold the measured liquid very well, which makes it useless to transfer measured amount of liquid. Basically, if you need to transfer tiny amounts of liquid, without measurement being important, then this would work great for you.

I trimmed the plastic baster to get the glass tube on and used silicone glue to attach it

This works like it should though I had to heat the connector section to get it to fit onto the extension piece. I wish it was a flexible tube because this hard plastic piece cracks and breaks easily. You’re better off buying a turkey baster from the dollar tree and getting some tubing from the pet store.
