I use these valve adapters with my mountain bike and portable electric pump, which I usually keep in the trunk of my car for emergencies. This valve adapter simply screws onto the presta valve stem of the bike, and then is clamped into the pump head like a normal schrader valve. This is a bit bulky and cumbersome, but it certainly gets the job done with no leakage or issues with bent valve stems. The only thing you need to be careful of is accidentally unscrewing the valve stem along with the valve adapter. Otherwise, it works great.

My emergency inner tubes or Presta valves not Schroeder valves. And my pump only did Schroeder valves. So I had a flat I pulled out my emergency inner tube. And then I noticed it had Presta valves I tried to use the pump and it wouldn't work with Presta valves. So I got these little valve stem extenders and I'll add it to my emergency kit to make sure that next time no matter where I'm at or what type of tire pump I wind up using. There will always be a way to put air into my inner tubes whether they're pressed the valves are Schroeder valves. I had to walk home pushing my bike 5 MI
