Far more efficient than standard wired wheels, easy to use and can grind flat. Wears a bit quicker but for the price is a good option

I used these to strip the paint off a wrought iron fence. The wheels striped the paint easily and quickly. These are very durable for the money. Good size package for the price. I am happy with these and would order again.

When using and angle grinder, I have been a wire wheel and flap disk guy for years. A friend recommended trying some of the more modern alternatives like these synthetic abrasive wheels. WOW! Used in the right circumstances and with the right technique, they are great. I find they are especially effective for removing paint and rust from sheet metal and leaving it close to primer ready. These LAEXEPELLE brand wheels fit perfectly on both my Craftsman and Bauer (HF) 4 ½ inch 5/8 arbor angle grinders without the need to remove the guard. The product description lists these disks as “coarse” but does not specify a grit rating. I can say they are more aggressive than the similar Warrior brand polycarbonate wheels at HF. If I had to guess, I would put them at a sandpaper equivalent of 120 to 180.I used one of these wheels to “restore” a metal watering can for my wife. Removed the existing enamel finish and took it down to bare metal in nothing flat (sorry, I forgot to take a photo). Did not experience any clogging of the wheel. Removed the rust with no issues. Did not have to worry about damaging the solder joints at the spout or handle like you would with a wire wheel. The can is about 14 inches tall and about 9-10 inches in diameter and the wheel barely experienced any wear.Be careful when using ion edges or i9regularly shaped items as these types of wheels can grab. Also, wear appropriate eye/face protection.Pleased with my use of the product so far. Reasonable price point for this multi-pack compared to purchasing individual wheels locally. Will get more when these have worn out.DISCLAIMER: I am a member of the Amazon Vine program. This means that I receive some products free of charge to use and review. I only request/accept items I will actually use. My reviews are based on this real-world usage – they are not mere regurgitations of the Amazon product description or insincere hype. I am not a shill and I do not consider the fact that an item was provided without charge as part of my ratings. I have given Vine products one star, five stars, and all points in between. A defective, incomplete, dangerous, or fraudulently described item gets 1 star (zero is not an option), a below average product 2, and an average product 3. You have to earn a 4 or 5 star rating. I put serious effort into my reviews and they represent my honest opinion of the product. My hope it they will help someone make an informed, educated choice whether or not a product is right for them.

I'm always up for a good stripping time, almost as much as a good poem rhyme. Many have said, "just use a wire wheel."which does work, but not the same deal. Not quite a mirrored brilliant hone, for flat surfaces, these things are bad to the bone. But if it contours, is jagged or edges, the metal will chew the disc like clippers do to hedges.to clean off paint, rust or get down to metal, quicker than you can heat water in a kettle, plus, the amount of 1 dollar bills with which you'll part, will get your far closer than you'll get to the other kind of stripper's heart.I'm just sayin'

These are decent budget level stripper discs that work well taking paint and light rust off mild steel. They wear decently as long as you don't use too much pressure, and don't get too hot when using. I don't like them being only 4" instead of the more common 4 1/2" as it takes some adjusting to get used to. But that's a minor thing and as long as you know going in what size they are isn't a fair criticism. Overall they're a good value and are good for paint and light rust removal.

These work great for cleaning up oxidized metal as well as point and other coatings. It doesn't do too well on heavily pitted metal because it's not designed to remove metal, therefore it will never reach down into the pits. For surface work, it's great.

These are nice paint/rust stripping wheels for your standard angle grinder. These wheels attached nicely to my angle grinder with my standard fittings. The spun nicely and got right to work.I was using these for a metal scooter project, where I had rust and paint to remove from a metal frame. I would say I was grinding for a little over an hour, and I only used two discs. And the only reason I used a second disc is because I wanted to try and get some small corners, and I wanted a bit more defined edge. There is still life left in both discs, so the longevity of these is pretty good. These discs made the job quick and worked great. They made quick work of the paint removal. I was also able to use these to get into corners where there was rusted welds and this stripped the rust right off.Wear a dust mask, or better if you have it. Not only are your spitting paint and rust and metal dust into the air, the sanding purple magic that is on these discs is also in the mix. None of it is good to breathe. Wear goggles if you have them, I only had safety glasses and the dust quickly coated the front and the inside of the glasses.I am very impressed with how these discs work. I am very happy with these grinding discs and I'm glad I have a 10 pack!
