I have a young rooster that started crowing often and LOUD, so wanted to try this product. I may have had unrealistic expectations and thought it would prevent him from being able to crow at all, but really it just kind of lowers his volume a bit and changes how his voice sounds (obviously). It may depend on how tight you put it on, and I went as tight as I was comfortable with before I felt like it would be risky for my roo. At first it was tricky getting it on him but after a while he stopped fighting lol. He didn't really mind that it was on him, though, so that's good. He just gets itchy sometimes and has to pick at it occasionally. I really like that it comes with 4 in the package. I will keep using it because any reduction in volume is definitely better than nothing.
