I used for buried water line connection between various PVC, brass, and stainless fittings. Top quality 3/4 NPT fittings, and certainly one of the best labels I have ever seen.

I’ve been a Machinist for over 50 years and have made plenty of these over the years. These are precision made on a CNC bar stock lathe. The threads are made exactly to industry standards and repeatable in every way. I’m using them on a series of high pressure hydraulic test pumps going up to 20,000 PSI. Not one problem!

The reason why some have leaking are either because these won’t screw in all the way or they they will but still leak.Let me explain why. They are short on threads, and tolerance is off. Just enough, that they won’t work. They are off for most American NPT made or QC’d equipment.Look for yourself, compare a lead free brass unit from Lowe’s or Home Depot. The manufacturer of these are the same for many of the brands on Amazon, and said manufacturer should take these off the market.

I purchased and used 4 of these hex nipples in 1" NPT. I found them to be very nicely made with clean threads and smooth inside and outside. They were also a good fit for the NPT female sockets that they mated to. Using tape and dope, and light to moderate tightening, there were no leaks. I found nothing needing improvement and considering the reasonable price, these rate five stars. For those that don't know, one needs to be careful when tightening two stainless parts together. Some kind of anti-seize compound is usually used on nuts and bolts to avoid galling. Given that I was plumbing potable water lines, I used some CRC food-grade anti-seize that was rated to work with stainless. It is pretty thick and goopy, much like plumber's dope. I wasn't sure if it would provide the seal, but this in combination with my favorite tape ( Oatey's FASTape ) proved to be effective. I first tested with pressurized air and bubble leak detector and every joint was good the first time. I happened to have the CRC product already, but given the excessive price might try something else before buying it for this purpose. Maybe nothing more than a conventional PTFE-based, white plumbing dope would have been fine. Just don't go medieval on the tightening as these fittings are precisely machined. And if you mix brass or copper with the stainless, the galling issues all go away.

These look great but the complaint I have is the taper is too long. Sometimes you tighten them up right to the nut and they still don't seal completely. I have had to use hydraulic sealant in some applications to get them to seal. If the female threads are not cut too deeply they work fine. The threads are smooth, cut well and the nipples to not have any sharp edges.

Tried these in my car wash. Sadly, had to change them out after short period of time as they leak. Will not but again. Labour (time) to change each time they start leaking worth more than a package of four.
