This thing is built like a tank, everything just seems very well made. I have repaired my spigot at least 3 times with a Mansfield style repair kit. Finally I said screw it and just re-did the entire thing using this SharkBite Sillcock. Super easy to use, just follow the directions... I'm a big DIY'r so last time I used a SharkBite product, I didn't even read the directions and had a minor leak, only because I didn't allow enough pipe to enter the shark bite fitting. Get a shark-bite Deburrer tool, and you can use that to mark how deep you have to insert the pex/cooper into the fitting. Worked great.

I recently installed the SharkBite 12 Inch Frost Free Sillcock, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! This product has been performing flawlessly since day one.The installation process was incredibly straightforward. I appreciate how user-friendly it is, making it a great option for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals. The instructions were clear, and I had it installed in no time without any special tools. What really stands out is its frost-free design, which is perfect for preventing freezing in colder months. This gives me peace of mind knowing that I won’t have to worry about burst pipes when the temperatures drop.Overall, I highly recommend the SharkBite Frost Free Sillcock for anyone needing a reliable and efficient outdoor water fixture. Its performance and ease of installation make it a fantastic investment!

I gave this 4 stars because it’s easy to install and replace. It works great, just for only about 10-12 months then it starts leaking, I’ve went through 4 of these so far, replaced every year. I’ve also tried to contact Sharkbite about this issue with no response.

My Grandmother's outside faucet started dripping and it got to the point where she couldn't completely turn the water off so we had to replace the entire hose bib. When I went in to her crawl space she had nothing but solid copper pipes. She had a gas line about 3 feet from the water line and while I don't doubt my solder skills I didn't exactly want to use a small hand torch anywhere in that general area or really just in the crawl space. I cut the copper pipe and deburred it then used a sharkbite fitting to connect this to a pex pipe then bought this sharkbite hosebib to connect to the pex. Would have taken me maybe 15 minutes to solder the copper pipes and connection but instead this took me 5 seconds to connect. I really like the sharkbite product and so far on any project I've used it on it's held. My 90 year old Nan can now turn her water on and off with ease and do what makes her happy which is watering her plants.

I replaced 20 year old valve - an easy task for everyone. No more leaks, no ugly hoses under my sink. I added extra face plate to cover hole in the brick wall - the original installer drilled that hole too large.

Replaced an outdoor sillcock with this new one. Worked like a charm and easy install. This brand is a bit pricier but it would seem that is the price of convenience.

I have an old house and the plumbing is out dated. The house was built prior to the house having indoor plumbing, so all our pipes are all over the place, with no real structure. The hose bib was connected to a copper pipe and run thru about a foot of raised stone and mortar foundation, and then another 2 feet weaved thru heating pipes. We tried touching the solder joints, but the tight spaces mad it almost impossible. We got the Sharkbite hose bib, some pex pipe and a few connectors. We cut the copper pipe to remove the old bib, which was easier and safer than the torch. We cut a 4 ft length of pex, and snapped it on to the hose bib. We connected a sharkbite connector onto the cut copper pipe. We easily feed the pex thru the existing hole, wove the pex thru the other pipes; then cut the pex to the correct size and snapped it into the connector. Because the connections can be rotated, we were able to line up the hose bib before screwing it down. We turned the water on slowly, with the bib open, so we wouldn’t blow any loose connections. Once we confirmed there were no leaks, we turned everything on full blast. This was very easy to install, and with being in New England, the frost free valve system is a must.
