Bought these lights to affix to a kayak. Like all the LEDs I am vetting for this application, I connect them to a 12v battery and let it run for a bit. Placed it on top of a piece of scrap foam I had laying around and few minutes later it completely melted through the foam. There is no way the foam double sided tape, included, is going to hold up to that kind of heat! The light was so hot I could not even touch it for a second. What you are looking at in the picture are two lights, one right out of the box, and the one on the top was the melted one. There is no way I would use these for anything, unless some form of a heat sink was used to dissipate the heat. The wires, like most of these led wires on similar items, are super thin maybe one or two strands of baby fine hair copper. I will say these are some of the brightest LEDs I have ever seen to date! They will blind you with the output. If you were into modding things for certain specific applications, and understand about the heat and how to deal with it these could very well be what you are looking for. Not for me though. They going right back to Amazon!

This is the cheapest stuff you can find, no waterproofing little tin frames just wrong to sell to anyone.Do Not spend you money on this at all.
