I had an XLR snake without return channels and this adapted it nicely to use a couple unused send channels for my powered stage monitors. saved both the hassle of running extra wires and the expense of replacing my snake, win win.

These adapters look solid and produce no noise. I'll have to use them between XLR wires since they're quite big and will not fit "side to side" on my console for my stereo outputs and inputs. I'll use them with a stage box to inverse inputs and returns... It woks well... But you can also use them to connect two female XLR's or two male XLR's together...

A couple of mics I have will need a longer extension to plug the mic cable into it. Shure Super 55 has a metal housing that is somewhat problematic for some boom arms not leaving enough room before it butts up against the boom arm's end flange. By using the Female extend adapter to the mic input it allows getting past that flange. The other option is to use a thinner extension gooseneck (pictured), or just use different mic and stand combo. You can never have enough connectors/adapters and this set is something I'll keep on hand but probably rarely use as it's just too specific. The set is 2 double end male XLR and 2 double end Female XLR. I'm still trying to come up with instances where that will be needed and useful. I grabbed it because too many times I'll have a connection problem, a bag full of connector/adapters but oddly enough just not the right one on hand. Now I have this, it may save the day one day.

This assortment will get basically any XLR connection done, at least once, without costing you more than taco lunch. For your permanently installed, used-every-day, mission-critical studio installs, you probably wont need these, and if you do you'll get ones with ultra-unimpeachable quality sound and sureity. For your load-in and load-out 12 times a week performance daily drivers, you'll probably need all of these from time to time, and you'll probably want some nuclear-rated ultra-durable knockarounds from a legendary brand. But for that little bag of a bunch or extra bits and bobs you don't usually use, but never know when you'll need them? These are for that. Will they stand up to years of daily abuse? I don't know. Will the satisfy the micro-sensitive ears of the second coming of Leonard Bernstein? I don't know. Will they pop out of the bag and save your bacon when some yutz runs a whole run of cable backwards at both ends? You bet your bacon they will. And that's what these are for. To have on hand so the show can go on, no matter how many boss's-nephews you're stuck with on your crew :)

I do some mobile DJing and I am always needing extra cables and connectors when I am out and about. These are good quality. They are rugged and durable. The pins are straight and each connector fit into my various cables very well, perhaps with a little more effort than I expected, and remained secure until I intentionally separated them. Maybe not the most heavy duty or precision ones I’ve ever used, but I also didn’t pay as much as those pro level connectors. There was no signal distortion or static and when I stressed them, I couldn’t cause a signal to drop.

I bought a new amplifier to work with my mixer. When I tried to hook it up, it had male connectors My mixer also had male connectors. I was getting really frustrated until I ran across these female to female connectors. Problem solved.
