I would say that the cross stitch is easy to handle but not very easy to read the instructions. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this for a beginner. I bought this for my daughter and she kept getting confused so I ended up doing it myself. If a beginner were to figure it out, they would be surprised when they got a real Crossstitch because the instructions are so different. Otherwise the dissing is pretty.

Bought this as a first cross stitch craft for ky daughter. Pattern is clear and simple to follow. Good introduction to the craft.

Excellent starting project for my 11 year old niece who has always wanted to learn to cross-stitch. The only downside is the difficulty of threading t he needle underneath to hold the ends. The point of the needle is too rounded and too thick.

My 9 year old loves it and was able to make the coasters. It also has blank patterns so she could make her own designs. Easy instructions and good ideas made this a great buy.
