We bought 2 of these for the house. We're having trouble putting it together. So far not that great.

I bought 3 different snow rakes for 2 houses, and compared them. They all are a little different, so it depends on your needs. We get around 300" of snow a year, but roofs are made for these snow loads, really only needing help on exceptionally huge snowfall years, in places where ice dams form, or places where snow creeps off. I use this one on a house with a metal roof that has a section 2 stories up that drips onto the driveway and refreezes at night. Using this, I can clear any overhanging snow and stop the drip, minimizing the days that we have ice on our driveway. For this use it is great, easily cutting the snow back 6" from the roof edge, so that any other melt goes into the gutters instead of dripping down.If you instead are worried about snow load on the whole roof, get one of the other snow rakes that has a cutter and a cloth or plastic chute. Those work amazingly well for getting lots of fresh snow off your roof. That's what my other 2 are, plus one that I made. All work with fresh or nearly fresh snow, but have no chance with snow that has hardened up.

The 20' handle is quite bendy, which is both a positive and a negative feature. Being bendy makes it hard to control, but it also allows it to arc onto the roof to grab and pull the snow off. I really needed a 30' handle to reach a 1 1/ 2 story roof, but I'm not sure that it wouldn't take two people just to control it. For my one story garage, it did a great job of handling the snow, once I figured out how to use it. I noticed it is out of stock, but a very similar one is available for nearly twice the price.

Even though this is constructed of good material, I found it a little heavy to use. Please note, though, I am a senior at 77 years of age. I will definitely be using this when the next big snow storm comes.

It's a decent roof rake! Could have been a little Sturdier in design. Screws holding the blade braces on are too small and they should have come with washers. Handle tubes are thin wall thickness. My plastic blade would probably fold the handle tube. They were right though... it sure is light!!

I had a roof rake and a neighbor needed to use it. Thought I would pick up one as a gift for them. We had three feet of snow, so we each got our rakes out and saved the roofs on all of the buildings. Great team work with an extremely good product. Easy to use.

It’s very easy to install. There are 5 extensions poles definitely allow the length of high you want to reach to. Light weight. I like the bonus little thing. I don’t use it for snow but for rake leaves.
