The poles are really tight. Not real easy to put together. But got through it and tried it on my garage roof. Getting rain today but I was able to take off about 6 inches of packed in snow. It probably does a better job on light stuff. From now on, when I get a foot or so of light stuff, I will take it off with this rake. All in all I give it a thumbs up for functionality. It is fairly sturdy and well made.

This rake works as it is designed. It removed a lot of snot in a short period of time. It does take a bit of getting used to as how to handle it. The rake does get heavy if you have all of the poles connected. It has a very long reach with all of the poles connected. I have on ly used it once so far so I will see how durable the fabric/vinyl is and if it holds up to multiple uses. The slide can get twisted at times.

Pole seems a bit unstable. Got the job done and will make it to next winter!

Works perfectly. Had a huge storm that dropped 20” of heavy wet dry stuff. Once you get the feel for how much you can push up the roofline it works great for me. It was about 16 inch blocks that I push and I would break off and come sliding down really helps with the ice damming issues in the steep pitches of the roofHighly recommend and don’t agree with those that said it’s cheap and flimsy.

This thing has been a great way to keep snow off my roof this winter without having to climb up there with a shovel, and it's insanely faster.Assembly was pretty straight forward, I managed to open the box with the head of the tool which was with the instructions, at the bottom of the box, and had pretty much everything snapped together before I got to them. A quick reference of the picture on the back of the written instructions confirmed I'd assembled everything correctly, and was handy for making sure the head was in the correct orientation with the reel on the left. It just uses spring loaded button connections like some sun shelters or the handlebars on your kid's scooter.Once everything is snapped together it's surprisingly rigid, aided greatly by the tight tolerances in the connectors, though I'm sure these will loosen up over time after assembling and disassembling it for storage. That being said I don't think the handle will ever be the point of failure, if you're using it correctly there should be little to no stress on these parts. The "slide" seems alright, though I do worry it might catch on a sharp eavesdrop edge and tear one of these days, but I have some heavy duty tarping that can be sacrificed to replace it if need be.It definitely excels when the snow isn't humid and hasn't gotten packy. I had a much easier time removing the snow on colder days shortly after it fell than I did snow that fell during a warmer week that was packy and later hardened. When the snow has been humid, or had time to harden a bit, it tends to either pack the snow up in front of it and start riding on top of it or just not be able to cut through it at all.A somewhat strange solution I found to this problem was to take a good length of heavy rope and literally just huck it over the peak of the roof and pull it back down a couple times. The striations left in the snow help break it up and keep the wheels of this things planted where they need to be.Overall it's a super convenient way to remove snow from your roof, even doing the rope thing it's less work than shovelling, faster and quite a bit safer.

I ordered this to stay ahead of ice dams. I have a 16' aluminum rake that I have used for the last 4 years. I didn't like the fact that I know I was slowly removing the stones on the asphalt shingles overtime. I also wished it was a bit longer too so I could reach higher up.I saw this design and was looking forward to seeing it in action. I had a portion of snow to remove on the garage. I really like that this can be used in sections or all in one length if desired. It makes storage a lot easier. I also like the tarp allows the snow to slide off the roof as you cut into it vs. "raking" it off the roof like my current one.I am not sure of the longevity of the plastic pieces on this, especially with cold winters we get. I tried to use it on the garage, but the snow was too hard to work properly. The guide wheels just rolled over top the hard snow. To be fair, my other rake struggled with cutting into the hard snow as well so I can't hold it against it.The length is great! I can reach a good 5-6' further up the roof from the ground compared to my old one.I will have to come back an update this with a proper snowfall to know how well it is supposed to function. The jury is still out on this one. I looks very similar to others online, but this one is more expensive.

Si la neige est déjà compactée, c'est impossible de traverser la couche avec ce produit, ça prendrait une "lame" pour creuser un chemin au rouleau. Parcontre, je dois avouer que le produit est de très bonne qualité.

Well its got some huge reach which is should have for what its designed for. I put it together and gave it some trial runs on a dry roof and it mostly seems like its high quality. I think you would want to have a specific use for one of these as you dont realize what a large tool it is until you assemble it. Speaking of which, the instructions could be a little more thorough , because if its your first foray into a large snow rake it might be a little daunting to open up the box and see a ton of separate pieces to put together. You get 1 piece of paper with some step by step instructions(in words) and thats it. The real test will come if it survives being used for a couple winters with bending at the weak points.

This is a replacement of a previous roof rake. The only issue I had was that the handles tend to bend with a lot of snow to go through. Go in layers and it works perfectly.

Best creation yet!! Made snow removal off my roof really easy, even when the snow was 3 feet deep. Slides through the snow like a hot knife through butter…..and the roll of plastic makes the snow slide right off the roof. What a fabulous invention!!
