These filter patches are great! They are protected and pristine in the package and allow plenty of air flow. The adhesive keeps them in place but is easy enough to remove when it's time to replace them.

I use 66 qt monotubs for growing gourmet mushrooms. The filters maintain the sterile conditions very well, while allowing free air exchange. This is crucial for fruiting conditions. These definitely save time and can be re-sterilized in a pressure cooker at 15 psi for 30 minutes.

I have been using a monotub shotgun style fruiting chamber for decades to grow Pink Oyster Mushrooms, but I decided to try a monotub ventilated with powered air circulation recently, and these filters allow for great fresh air exchanges without the worry of contamination. The 2 inch holes are covered by these adhesive filters and allow for really impressive air flows without bacteria and fungal spore contamination. The mushroom yields since I switched have increased noticeably, and the setup (with a small fan and automatic humidification) is largely maintenance free. I highly recommend that you try these- adequate FAE improves and extends mushroom fruiting more than any of the other trick techniques I've tried in the past.

I haven't gotten to use these yet as I still need to get a monotub, but these filters look like they'll be perfect for that. They're nicely packaged so that they're not exposed to the open air, and I haven't taken them out of the packaging because I don't want to risk any unnecessary contamination. But the plastic packaging is clear so you can see the filters and their quality without opening them up.I'll try to remember to update this review once I've put them to use with a monotub and a fresh grow.
