Your cart is empty.Kontes Brand Filtration Assemblies with Fritted Glass Supports are designed as membrane filter supports for vacuum filtration analysis of liquids from particulate or biological contamination. Required accessories are a side arm filtration flask or filtration manifold, a vacuum source and ¼" ID vacuum tubing. These assemblies are not recommended for producing ultra-clean filtrates since the fritted glass of the filter support base is difficult to clean thoroughly and may contribute contaminates from previous filtrations.

The funnel only holds 15mL and filtration performance is poor. I've used this product at Columbia University lab for two months and have had poor filtration results. Product description did not state size of the graduated glass filter cup. I assumed it was at least 50mL.

For some reason this microfiltration device quickly clogs and stops allowing materials to pass through. I really don't know what is causing the device to clog as there is a 0.45 micron and 0.22 micron filter upstream, which effectively means there should be no foreign particles to clog the microfilter.
