Pipe is adequate for the intended purpose. Nice smooth finish.You should, however, be aware that pipe isn’t threaded, so it will not work properly for most hunter fans.Also, the included wire is barely the length of the pipe and far too short to make any kind of tie in. I had adequate wire on the fan I was installing, otherwise this would have posed a serious problem.

Bought it for a ceiling fan purchased on Amazon. Fit was a standard rod said to be universal. Fit easily into the thread.
