Ceramsite

I love these little things. They are so pretty and look absolutely stunning. They also work extremely well. I have been using it like leca and it pulls moisture so well

Update: the balls condense and stick sooo fast and hard. If you want to try with tropicals, just start them from scratch don’t transition with them. They squish the roots and kill them because they are so heavy and dense. New plan, rainbow pebble trays! Or a mix of these and perlite for visually pleasing plant. Not functional as a solitary growth medium.The product is as advertised so I’m still giving it a 5 star but they need to advertise their weight and density.I just read through the reviews and saw someone saying the water was cloudy, so I had to write this. RINSE THEM FIRST. Goodness gracious, research leca before you buy! Wash/rinse until the water runs clear and then soak over night. This will get any leftover residue off.Now the review: smaller than I thought but they gave measurements so that’s on me. I’m semi worried about them settling after a year and squishing roots or being too hard too untangle as they have a bit of weight to them. Think small magnet compared to a popcorn kernel (leca that floats). I’ve seen hollow leca compact over time but havnt tried this kind yet. So far so good! Gorgeous colors too, I get tons of compliments.
