First off this purchase was for an 18 yr old chihuahua. She’s been having trouble making it outside more often and when I can’t watch her she goes into her “condo”. I layered waterproof mats and pee pads. It’s enough room for her bed, food and water. The zipper flap makes it easy to let her out. If you are careful with the zipper it should last a long time. It doesn’t fold up like a pack n play but it’s not hard to take apart and it’s very light and easy to move. For me it’s a 5 star. If you have a hyper puppy or a chewer this is not the item for you. There’s mesh on 3 sides that will not hold up to too much force. Perfect for whelping or injury recovery or in my case an old dog that needs a quiet space.

I purchased this for my 2 seven-weeks old french poodle puppies after viewing the video reviews. As the pictures show, the size gives them plenty of room. As adults, they will be 8-12 lbs. each, so I believe this playpen will last us a very long time.I gave it 4 stars because it would be perfect if the flap were mesh, so the puppies could see out, and I could see in, while being safely zipped closed. Having the front completely blacked out when it's zippered closed is the only thing I would improve.Otherwise, it seems to be a great value with the materials, and setting up was very easy.

As an owner of a pregnant Husky, I needed a safe whelping area for the upcoming birth. This product proved ideal for our needs. The initial assembly made me skeptical due to its lightweight materials, but once constructed, the structure demonstrated remarkable stability. The rounded edges and soft materials create a secure environment for both mother and puppies - a crucial feature during the first weeks of the puppies' lives. The design includes a lowered front entry that allows the mother to step over rather than jump, reducing any risk of injury during late pregnancy. The 24-inch height of the walls prevents newborn puppies from wandering while still allowing the mother easy access. My husky particularly appreciated the open-top design, which aligned with their natural denning instincts while giving her the freedom to enter and exit without disturbing nursing puppies. For reference, this whelping box accommodated our husky (55 pounds) and her litter of seven puppies comfortably. The washable materials made cleaning simple during the intensive first weeks of puppy care. Based on our experience through one complete whelping and nursing period, I can confidently recommend this product for medium to large-breed dogs.

It worked well for me for a while to keep my new puppy contained while I was working. It was sturdy, easy to put together, and light enough to pick up and move easily. Eventually though he wore a hole into one of the corners. I didn’t like that you couldn’t disassemble it easily for travel or move to another room (won’t fit through the door). My puppy had accidents in the beginning and they went straight through to the floor so the bottom just be warned is not waterproof (they didn’t claim it was) - it’s also not the most fun to get in and clean. I opted to eventually replace with one that has the metal panels you piece together allowing me to reconfigure and easily move, with a pad as the floor instead. All that being said I really relied on it a lot and was happy with it for a while, so if you put in a pad on top of the floor (there’s an option for that), don’t need to move it often through small doorways, and make sure your puppy doesn’t make a hole in the side it will serve you well.

This dog playpen has been a great addition to our home. It’s spacious enough for our dog to play, sleep, and move around comfortably, giving him plenty of room to feel at ease. The mesh sides allow him to see out, which helps him feel connected to his surroundings while still enjoying his own safe space. He loves retreating there when he feels uncertain or needs a break from too much attention. We did add a small rug to the bottom for extra comfort, as the base isn’t plush enough on its own. While the overall design is functional, the material is on the thinner side. Our dog tends to scratch at the zipper area when he gets excited about being let out, and after just a few minutes of scratching, the fabric has started to thin and come loose.Verdict:This playpen is a great safe space for dogs and works well for light use. However, the durability could be improved, especially for pets prone to scratching. If your dog is active or excitable, you may need to reinforce certain areas or look for a sturdier option.

Got this for our 3 month old puppies on a car trip to visit family and they love it. They knew it was for them as soon as we started putting it together and love their little “house”. With the top on it, it feels very cozy and they go there happily to nap and didn’t mind being zipped in for bedtime.Easy to put together and kept two wild puppies contained even with them play fighting in there all the time. Unfortunately the front flap zipper broke within a few weeks of hard use, but that’s not unexpected with puppies chewing everything. Surprisingly, the fabric and structure otherwise holds up really well.Best feature is that it fits perfectly in the back of our new Hyundai Santa Fe. A crate was too much to take along, but this lightweight containment option is easy to put in/out of the car and makes the puppies feel safe when on the road. Much lighter and easier to manage than a crate. Unexpected bonus!
