Your cart is empty.The EF Series (Light Duty)Flail Mower is an option if you are looking for a better finished cut than with the brush mower. The EF Series is a Weed and Grass Field Mower. Provides a smooth and better finish than a brush mower but not quite the finish of a rotary mower. This model is great for small acreage of 10 or less. Flail Mowers are useful for jobs where you are cutting grass on uneven ground, high grass, weeds, brush, and small saplings. A flail mower doesn’t throw grass, instead it cuts finely and leaves the cuttings on the ground where it was cut making it an excellent choice for those places where you could cause damage by throwing debris. Highway mowing and park maintenance often use flail mowers because they are less likely to throw objects during cutting. Overall Width: The EF 105 has a overall width of 45″. Cutting Width: The EF 105 has a tilling width of 41″. Weight: The EF 105 has a weight 386 lbs. HP Requirements at PTO: The EF 105 requires 16 - 45 PTO horsepower. Cutting Height: The EF series has a 0" - 6" Adjustable to meet various height requirements Housing Material Thickness: The EF series has a housing of 4mm thick. Blade Type: The EF series uses standard reversible Y-blades. The Y-blades weigh 5.6 oz. Number of Blades: The EF 105 uses 36 Y-blades. Precision Blade Overlap: On the EF series the blades are staggered precisely with no gap in the mowing area. Blade overlap is important to achieve an even cutting result. Hinged Rear Gate: This allows for easy inspection, cleaning, blade changing, and maintenance of your machine. The rear gate can also be left open for easier discharge in heavy conditions, or you can close the gate to greater mulching. Rotor Rotation - Reverse: The rotor spins in the opposite direction as the wheels of the tractor when traveling forward. This allows the blades to shear the material as it is folded forward by the mowers. The material is then thrown up and over the rotor.

Ordered it on the 3rd thru Amazon. Betstco called on the 5th to confirm shipping details and it arrived on the 7th by FedEx.Bolted the few brackets together and mowed between my Christmas trees this afternoon.Works as good as I hoped it would and is definitely a good piece of equipment.Perfect size for my J Deere 1025r.

Would rate this 4.5 stars of I could. This thing is perfectly matched to the John Deere x485 (if you have the optional 3 point and rear PTO). JD doesn't rate the PTO HP but it has a 25HP gas engine. Does a great job chopping up brush. Seems heavy duty given it's size. Only two minor issues. For my tractor the gear box is a bit high compared to where my PTO is on the tractor so you can only lift it up slightly before the PTO clunks (most 3 point PTO implements do this but it's worse on this flail compared to my tiller). Also the lower link pins don't have enough clearance to use a quick hitch (I have a pat's ez hitch), you have to remove the pins while connecting it. Eventually I will drill some new holes but the steel is thick.
