I couldn't find any of these pegs in the big box stores that were this size and this color. These worked great!

The pegs are fine, but they require a 15/64" drill bit for correct hole size vs 1/4 " as described on the Amazon website. Lowes does not carry any metric sizes but Home Depot does. So I had to spend another $10 bucks to use these pegs.

These replaced some clear plastic brackets that have been supporting shelves for quite a while. When one broke I decided to change them all to metal. The bronze colored ones blend in nicely with wood shelfs and are solid. The only downside is that the pin is just slightly larger than the standard plastic one so you have to oversize the hole just a bit so the new pin will fit. I measured the width of the side supports and taped the drill bit to have a guide when to stop drilling. I did not make the hole too big, just enough to start the pin into the hole then tap it in gently with a small metal rod and hammer. Take your time and don't rush it. The pin should be a bit snug and once in its pretty rock solid. Also make sure you orient it the right way as the brackets can be 180 out.
