I do not believe this mailbox post is a good fit for any states where you have snowfall and snowplows, unless in a protected area. I find it to be very lightweight with the heaviest piece being the scrollwork piece that holds the mailbox (and you still need a piece wood to mount the box). I must have missed the information that the post comes in two pieces - that just will never stand up to the force of snow hitting it. And each of those holes and screws is a place for the metal to rust. There are no directions at all, not that it is complicated to put together, but just a page with all the parts listed would allow buyers to verify they have everything. On the positive, if you live in a southern state, perhaps a gated community or somewhere less rural than I, where you can mount this to concrete (there are no concrete driveways where I live, it would crack with frost) this post will probably be fine for you. It did come very well packaged so that each piece is in bubble wrap and nothing got scratched.
