If you were to ask me what this was a year ago, I wouldn’t be able to tell you. I purchased a new home and these were on my oil burner. Last year in the summer, my burner wasn’t making hot water for my holding tank. A friend of mine looked at it and found that this device (circulator valve) wasn’t working right, but once we took off the cover, it was fine. I kept the cover off but went on Amazon to order this one, same numbers.I received it in a day but never replaced it because the old one was still working with the cover off.One year later, two weeks ago, one of the coldest days of the year, my burner was struggling to keep the home’s temperature at 62 degrees. I called a technician and he looked at it and told me the other circulator valve went bad. I pulled the new one that I had sitting around out and he replaced it, restoring my heat. The bill? $155. To me, that’s a win! Now I purchased this replacement for my hot water circulator valve for when it goes bad. So, yes, they work well.

These units seem to fail every 5 years or so. I now keep a spare in the house so the reparman only has to make one trip.

I really hate aftermarket parts, but sometimes Amazon makes purchasing things too convenient so I gave this aftermarket replacement head a shot...Replacement took less than 5mins (2 screws & 4 wires). Cycled multiple times with zero issues.Wonder how long it'll last? But for now; happy with zero complaints.

The valve works until you install it, then flexes out of shap binding up the gear drive. Will open but not return. If I loosen up on side completely then it returns, but still erratic. To me the gear drive on motor is bent just a few degress to create this binding. Replaced oem motor with my old motor with a straight shaft and now working, but now issue with end switch making. Might be resetting of motor position now ? Would not buy again. UPDATE; Seems the motor plate is not formed to specs, about .1 " out of shape over the shaft drive indention, Gear plate slips out of place because of play, spacing. Just a slight pressure on manual handle holds it in place to work. My guess metal mounting plate 90 bent legs are not 90 degrees sharp bend, leaving middle to bulge up out of place. Poor quality control and testing. Or the drive stamping is to shallow to fill in gap. Oh yeah, a 10 warranty, LOL.

The part worked for 4 months, 3 months of the use the part was not used as it was on a heating system installed late april, failed in september once the system was powered on. The gears stripped in the motor assembly. The part has a warranty in the part description. the warranty is WORTHLESS. The seller was non-responsive. The description in the part listing said to use the corporate website and contact them directly. There is no corporate website for the vendor. They said contact them directly. There is no ability to directly contact them. I had to have Amazon contact them for me. Still no response in spite of Amazon intervening. I would not buy this product or use the seller. Pick an alternative vendor and product. Similarly due to low cost and low quality, purchase an additional motor for spares for when the valve inevitably fails. Better to have two spares on a -20F day when the first fails.

I removed the existing powerhead from a Honeywell valve that was installed on my heating system. The end switch had failed, and that's all I really needed, but I chose to replace the entire powerhead with one from this unit. It fits and works perfect. And I now have a replacement brass valve assembly if it's ever needed. This is an easy fix if you have the type of powerhead that can be removed with two screws that secure the powerhead to the valve body.
