I got this for coin collecting, it works great! I honestly wasn't expecting much. This was one of the first ones that popped up in my search, so I kept looking at other versions but the reviews on them were pretty questionable. So eventually I finally came back to this one, and I'm glad I did! The price was like 35 bucks I think? It's definitely worth that. The couple of bad reviews on it we're just people who didn't take the time to figure out how to work it properly. It's pretty self-explanatory to use, it doesn't come with an SD card, but you can add one later supposedly, you just have to format it. This works plugged in or unplugged, and the charge seems to last quite a while, couple hours. Not bad for a screen and a light running Non-Stop. The light is adjustable from dim to pretty bright, enough for my needs. It takes a c charger like my cell phone so that's cool. You can actually remove the screen with the magnifying glass part and carry it around and use it wherever without the mount which is kind of neat. The mount is pretty light, and the knobs are plastic, so it's not like professional grade or anything, but it's perfect for what I need it for. I don't feel like it's going to break, but I'm not going to be throwing it around or anything. It seems like the clarity is really good, I kind of jerry-rigged mine so that I can put it up higher. I put some electrical tape underneath the camera adjustment knob and screwed down the mount to it , which raises it another three or four inches in height and shows me more of the coin if I would like. Then to drop it down there's a different knob in the back which takes you as close to the coin as I would like. Honestly it works really well.I should also say I've had this thing for about a month now. I have yet to be disappointed, of course I haven't tried the SD card feature yet because I have no need. Can't help you with any advice there, sorry!I recommend this whatever it's called, microscope screen thing.

This microscope is extremely useful for showing details of many objects, without the need to destroy the object. However, prepared objects between slides can be studied as well.Attached a screen copy with S-EYE (the software) connected to the Jiusion USB microscope. You see dried coffee on a plastic slide. The microscope is adjusted to about 1000 times. A disadvantage is that the transparant plastic safety cap at the front of the microscope should be removed first to reach 1000 times.

Purchased this USB microscope to help me practice removing and replacing pins on PGA-type CPUs, as well as other SMD repairs. For the price, it works extremely well. I recommend going with this model if you are planning to do small repairs on electronics once in a while.Pros:- image is clear and Zoom can be adjusted with the dial for clarity- capture software/drivers were easy to install from the website- software allows for view and image capture- LED light can be adjusted using a dial on the USB cable- Very low price compared to other similar microscopesCons:- Hardware snapshot button works... but with the included mount the microscope will definitely move, requiring you to readjust. I recommend only using the screenshot button in the software, instead.- Software automatically starts when starting Windows 10 and I couldn't find an option in the software setting to disable it, so I had to do it manually through Windows task manager.- The driver software worked without issue in Windows 10, but I had some trouble on Ubuntu 20.04 using the recommended guvcview capture software. The hardware dial would always cause the software to hang. There are other recommended capture software packages for Linux distributions, but I did not try them, maybe they work better.

I hope to use this microscope to support lab classes in metalworking. Short classes mostly given to Engineering students. I have lots of conventional magnifiers and microscopes, but these are not a good demonstration! I don't know what the student sees, and there's some skill involved, I want something everyone can see. The big surprise with this unit was that it functioned immediately! I was just beginning the process of finding and loading the official software, wondering if I can do it at all... and realized that the thing was already working! The built-in lamp is strong and adjustable, you get a sharp vivid image. The immediate thing is "sharpening", so we're trying to see the very edge of a knife, which was easy. The only trouble of course is that it's hard to hand-hold something for (say) 50X magnification, my hand is too shaky. So a compact adjustable stand would really help here! I haven't learned how to take or export a picture yet, might need to get the official software? Anyway, this thing is affordable, easy and fun to use, delivered quickly. I'm going to use it instead of something worth more than a thousand dollars that's much harder to use!

I bought this microscope mainly to take picture of coins, so I evaluate its effectiveness for that purpose. The good part:- It works quite well- Image quality is fine even if I would had liked more pixels.- The service is good- Under some conditions, they provide a replacement stand- Of all the suggested software to operate the Scope under Windows, I find xploview is the best and works perfectly. The disappointments:- The original stand is shaky, which make it more difficult to take pictures after adjustment. If you touch the USB cable after making focus, even sligthly, that might move the scope a bit a unfocus your picture.- The microscope must be somewhat close to the observed object. You really cant zoom out, so its not possible to take a picture of a whole coin, only part of it.- The zoom button on the scope is not really useful and is not really explained.- The picture button is of mixed usage. Useful if you hand the scope to take pictures manually. But on a stand, you wont use that button since you might lose focus while pressing it. Anyway, the software ables you to take picture and that is fine, si you dont need that button.

I am quite impressed by the quality of this microscope for the price. When the software works (will get to that in a second), the whole package works flawlessly. Great quality from the microscope, zoom works great, light is more than adequate. Really, the hardware is great. The software, on the other hand - is awful. They say for Android (I have a Pixel 2XL) to get a handful of apps. I installed each of them - and could only get one to work. And it worked intermittently. I'd plug the camera in and I'd say like 10% of the time the app recognized the camera. That said, when it worked, it worked well.Since the Android apps didn't work great - I decided to install the windows software. My laptop doesn't have a CD drive, so I used the link provided. It took me to a google drive link (sketchy) - which worked fine. Downloaded, installed, and it opened and picked up the camera immediately - and works perfectly fine.MY MAIN BEEF is that after I installed the app - I keep getting a Windows message about there not being a default mail client installed. I don't know what the hell that's about - but I don't think the timing is a coincidence. I've ran malbytes anti-malware and windows defender, but it didn't pick anything up. I'm pretty sure the software installed a virus.
