I waited way to long to properly sort my papers. I originally had them separated by 12x12 & 8x11 in two half-cubes that were made to fit in my IKEA Kallax cube storage shelf. After some time, that just didn't really work well, as I was fazing out my 8x11 paper in preference for the 12x12. I also had some papers specific for certain events/pets/seasons etc and the only separation was by the order they were in.These filters are PERFECT. They expand to fit the volume of papers (to a reasonable width for categories). I only have to grab a folder, pull out a sheet or two and then slide it back in place. No more pulling out a15 lb box just to grab one sheet.For inspiration, my current sorting scheme is by solid color (pinks, reds, oranges, etc), patterned color(same concept), cats/dogs, winter/snow, sparkles/holo, fall, flowers, birds, random one-offs & cut-offs *(papers that have like, sayings & small sections that you can cut out). Super helpful so far! Comes with helpful labels too! I do kind of wish that the tabs would cascade down the length of the folders (like hanging file folders) but not a game changer.I feel like you get a decent amount for the money, as well. They're not super thick in terms of durablabililty (think thickness somewhere between cardstock and printer paper) but I don't feel like these would rip any time soon either.Love! Love!! Love!!!

I guess I should have looked at the pictures better. I like the tabs to be either 1/3 or 1/5 cut. These are all on the right side which makes looking for filed items harder because you can't see them unless you move the front one to see what's behind it. If that's what works for you, they seem to be a sturdy paper holder, just won't work for what I need them for so had to return.

I'm very pleased with these organizers! They arrived in perfect condition and are such a welcome addition to my workspace. I wanted something clear and easy to access and this is it! It is so great to be able to find my paper/cardstock easily, rather than in a solid container that takes up tons of room itself, in a stacked pile on a shelf, or in a cardboard box so it doesn't get damaged.I put the folders on their sides, with the open side and tab facing out rather than on top. This makes the tabs easier to read on my shelving units, the paper easier to access, and keeps dust from settling inside. They will hold both loose sheets and 12x12 paper pads as they're slightly longer on one side than the other (with the tab facing out, the paper pads are loaded in with the top of the pad at what is now the top of the folder - the side of the pad faces the open side of the folder...hope that makes sense). They easily hold two 40-sheet paper pads or even more pieces of loose cardstock.I have about 30 in use right now and find the folders stand on their sides fairly well but will slouch if they don't completely fill a shelf. I'm reorganizing my workspace and will have cube shelves. I'll use a tall, heavy-duty metal bookend in any cube that isn't full. Prior to using, I suggest putting your hand all the way into the folder to pop open the folds (it's like a very skinny brown lunch bag). Helps with getting the paper in smoothly.

I was surprised how much paper I could get in one folder. Very sturdy and makes sorting my scrapbook paper for ease of grouping together. The tab on each us so nice for marking what us in each one.

I like the ease of keeping my scrapbook papers organized. You can pull out the plastic folder that holds the colour you want and look for the shade you want without disrupting any of the other paper. I think they are amazing.

The envelopes are great. They are very sturdy, and hold a lot, because they have a square bottom, although I mostly use the envelopes folded flat. I can put multiple packages of designer paper in one envelope if I want, then I store those envelopes in handmade magazine holders.

I was originally dismayed that I had to purchase these paper organizers. For the twenty-ish years that I've been a paper crafter, I've used a very particular brand, not this one. However, that brand's paper organizers went out of stock absolutely everywhere, and I was desperate.These paper holders contain far more room for my collections than my snooty name-brand organizers did! My former ones didn’t have a gusset; these do, and it works beautifully! My collections generally contain about 50 pages, but you can certainly get 75, maybe even a hundred sheets of cardstock in each holder.The cons: Three of my paper holders arrived damaged. I’ve attached two photos: one is how these paper holders should look, and the other shows the problem that occurred when the front and back panels were sealed.Still, I’m saving so much money with this new brand that I can forgive a few blemished organizers.A suggestion for the brand: you all could make these paper holders even more functional by adding some spacious pockets to the organizers for the additional items one stores with their paper collections. Few paper holders contain pockets; you would basically own the market and would find that paper crafters would gladly pay for the additional storage. My $.02!
