We used them to secure new wood top railings for our deck. They make the best way to make sure the rail does not get sloppy and loose. They are easy to fit and they feel as if they are welded onto the rail! I would recommend these to anyone refitting old railings or even for new railings!

i do t know that there’s anything that could make them stand out, but I have no complaints about these threaded inserts.

I have heard of others using inserts made with softer metals, so I opted for steel, and they work great.

I love that these are solid steel inserts and not cheap zinc plated imitations. Things like these are so overlooked in the projects that we build but it's quite reassuring to know that once you install these inserts they are going to work exactly as planned and will last the life of the product as needed. Highly recommended!

The size is correct and the threads are clean. Installing with the provided allen key is possible, but it is hard to get them in square and true to the hole. I ended up threading them in using my drill press to make sure they went in straight. From my research online, this seems to be an issue with most threaded inserts and not unique to this brand.

I followed supplier's instructions to dril 3/8" hole for soft wood (I was just using standard pine from Home Depot), At first i was very dissappointed because the inserts were clearly not strong enough to hold my project together. I coated the oter threads with wood glue and after 24 of drying, they hold really well now!

They were exactly what I was expecting. I couldn’t find anything local for attaching legs to my workpieces without using just screws. I predrilled, used 5 min epoxy and put these in with the included hex key. I was able to easily find local hex bolts to fit the 1/4” opening. The legs attached perfectly.. I am really pleased with the neat attachment setup

Used them for my work desk. Got an Autonomous premium frame and IKEA TOMMARYD table top. I didn't want to screw directly to particle board tabletop since it wouldn't last long in case I move the desk around. Ended up buying these. Just completed the project and worked out perfectly. Don't have to worry about detaching the table top multiple times from frame anymore. HD sells similar screws for a dollar each, which is crazy. The Allen wrench worked out very well to insert the screws to the wood. Can't talk about rust, but not too worried about it given it is for indoor use.
