I got these to do with my nieces; we like to do craft like activities when they visit. Glad I tried one before they came. First, I found the sheets to be very smelly when I took them out of the package- a strong industrial smell, like being in a paint store or a tire store. I think most moms- especially my sister- wouldn't want their kids playing with something so chemical smelling.But I was still determined to try these out, just for my own enjoyment. They turned out to be very messy, like doing a giant lottery scratch-off ticket. The coatings doesn't scratch off very easily so my hand quickly got tired and the surface of the design gets sort of mottled from the amount of pressure needed to remove the stinky coating with the wooden tool that comes with the kit. Lastly, the design that's revealed isn't that cool.

A friend suggested I try doing some scratch art, so I found this packet of butterflies/flowers to try. They're very easy to do, just scratch off the grey area of the picture. You can also scratch off the black areas within the design to reveal more of it. This packet doesn't come with a brush to brush away the dust, but I used an old makeup brush to do that. Also a bit of advice, get a tray to do this on because the dust collects and gets everywhere. It's easier to contain on the tray and dump into the trash can when done. I enjoyed doing this kind of artwork, it was something different and fun.

I love these scratch art pictures. They're super cute. I love butterflies and there's plenty of large area to scratch off which I really like. Some other pictures I've done have a lot of little spaces that you can kind of mess up once you scratch it off. There's no turning back so I really like this set of scratch paper or good quality. Very happy with it.
