I bought these auger bits for gardening, and they are great for punching dozens of holes for tulip bulbs or seedlings in short order. They're made of sturdy steel, nicely welded and painted. My wife soon found them useful for her own gardening activities at her church, and I haven't seen a couple of them (and one of my drills) for a few months. Highly recommended.

I got these to help me dig into the Texas clay whenever I need to change a sprinkler head. They cut my digging time in half. They work way better than expected and I would recommend these to anybody that regularly needs to work in the yard or garden.

I do not know how I was a gardener for so many years before I learned about these attachments! Oh my god they are awesome! I used them all spring summer and fall in my garden. It was a huge help digging larger holes in the yard for perennials, mixing up the dirt in my raised garden beds, or planting out bulbs in the fall. My drill pretty much stays with the gardening equipment since this purchase.

It says its 5/8" just like the other auger i bought but it doesnt fit in my drill. Very disappointed.Update - found a different drill that accomodates this auger. It wrks great. Very easy to use. Very pleased.

I bought this product to use at our cabin, we have many flower beds with trees. The thin tree roots seem to try to overtake the flower beds and deflect watering. I also noted some soil was becoming a bit hydrophobic. This tool made quick work of that. I was able to get through the thin tree roots and encourage drainage. I have used it twice, since mid-summer and the plants seemed to be happier. I would buy again.

In a time when everything is so high this very economical tool saved the day for me. My yard has everybody's tree roots including my own and everywhere I try to dig by hand I catch a root, this handy little tool did the trick and cut through those roots leaving a perfect hole!!! Just stick it into a hand drill and you are set to plant posts, plants or anything that requires a hole dug, three seconds and done!!

I was waiting to write my review after we used it a lot! It works so well! Saves time! Just use a slower speed in a very rocky soil or it can block on a rock and hurt your wrist if used at full speed.I really recommend it!

Our ground in Kona District of the Big Island is perfect for growing coffee and we are slowly replacing our 75-year old trees with grafted coffee trees I grow in 2 inch by 8 inch tubes. When I try to plant one with a pick and shovel it takes 10 to 15 minutes per tree because I hit a rock every time I hit the ground. These augurs can be put in a cordless drill, pick a spot to plant and drill. If it hits a rock, move over a little and try. I can plant 10 trees in ten minutes, an amazing savings of time and wear and tear on my back swinging a pick. The different sizes give some options. The large one is too big for our rocky soil but perfect in our raised garden boxes for punching a hole large enough for a 4 inch potted plant. I am enjoying how these work.

I was looking for a tool to dig holes in the ground so that I could install fertilizer sticks. This tool allows me to dig the perfect size hole and not mess up my whole yard.Ease of use: Good. I was able to install it right into my portable drill the same way I woukd for a drill bit.Sturdy: Great. It is made of metal. I moistened the ground a bit before using. Just to be on the safe side.Price: Amazing. It would have cost me three to four times this amount to pay someone to come out and do it for me. I can use it anytime I want. I will continue to explore more ways to use it.
