Found out that my neighborhood has feral cats. I made them a little box house and put this in as bedding. They use it.

I like it they’re absorbent however, my dogs kind of tore it up. I don’t have chickens. I thought it would be a good cushion for them to lie on because they like to sleep outside. I think I will buy some more despite the fact that they shredded a lot of it.

I purchased this bc we have had terrible weather and our yard is a continuous mud puddle. We have a single driveway but several cars so we park in the grass and it gets destroyed so I purchased this straw to lay down to prevent from sliding and getting stuck in the mud. It works great.

Perfect for filling feral cat shelters. The cut of the straw is just the right length, making the bedding nice and fluffy. It's also nice and clean, with no extraneous leaves or weeds. I filled two shelters last week, and our feline tenants have occupied both. Plus, there's enough straw left over for another season.

The bundle of straw I received reminds me of the sweepings we would clean up in the barn after stacking bales after harvest. Lots of chaff and very short stems. High price for poor quality. Can't use for a feral cat shelter as intended. Only good thing was it was placed in a plastic bag so I didn't have straw dust flying all over when I opened the box.
