I have rewired countless trailers over the years. This wiring set is the best I have ever used. The wires are incased in a material that should protect them from exposure and abrasions such that they will last many, many years. The protective coating also makes it very easy to route the wires through the frame of a trailer. I will be using this wiring set whenever I need to rewire one of my trailersin the future.

Trailer lights are often frustrating anyway... Lights not working and needed new wire. This looked perfect and better than most - 16 gauge (heavier), jacketed separate wires for each side of trailer, and plenty long. Looked great when arrived. Ran the wires and could not for the life of me get all functions to work - right side running lights good but weak brake light and blinker. Using the meter discovered truck side not working - bad F150 R201 relay. Replaced relay - still no joy. Meter showed proper power to each wire at trailer light, but brake / blinker light not strong - only the outer (not as bright) bulb filament barely lighting up instead of stronger inner bulb filament. Must be short in light itself - replaced right side square light. Still the same. Discovered truck relay R201 blown again - must have been the original bad light shorted it out, right? Replaced relay, still no joy. Plug at truck tested good at first - later during testing not after relay blows. Several trips for relays, trying different lights, spinning bulb in holder to try and get stronger inner filament to light up, no joy. Suspect short in truck trailer wiring, but works for a time at truck end after replacing relay. Finally pulled out new trailer harness from pipe channels and checked wire ends against harness flat plug - there was a dead short across plug ground to yellow and also to brown on right side. When checking earlier, I had proper power back at trailer light and all looked good, but there was also this hidden short at the harness flat plug. Drove me crazy! Feel stupid didn't check harness first - never again will I install a harness without doing a basic check of the harness right out of the box! Some people report good results with this harness. I'll try and give grace that this was a rare bad one. Out quite a bit of money for several R201 relays and new square light, and store travel and time. If you try this harness, strongly suggest checking continuity across plug and wire ends to be sure there are no shorts to the ground, and harness works correctly.

My neighbor loaned me his trailer and the lights did not work. Ordered this 26' long kit with heavier gage wire, covered by a thick wall wire coating for good mechanical protection. Neighbor was very appreciative.

This made the wiring of my boat trailer really easy and mostly professional. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to projects like this and it is important to me when people recognize how clean my installs are. This will definitely make your trailer wiring look like a pro and reliable. Will buy again for future trailer purchases.
