I have gotten several suits of different brands, for my Siamese girl, who was spayed today. I sent back all but these and one other. Virtually none fit right. If the back was long enough, the neck was too big and she shimmied right out of them. These also have the same problem, but are made of cotton, so they should shrink, if I wash them in hot water and dry them in the dryer. In the mean time, I ran some 1/4 inch elastic inside the neck binding and it's still on, 4 hours later. 😉

Bought these surgical suits for my cat who was recovering from surgeries. Did a great job protecting his incisions. The neck is very loose so I had to use safety pins to hold it up.

We purchased these for our kitten, who was recovering from spay surgery. She absolutely hated the Cone of Shame and really had a hard time doing anything (eating, drinking, using her litterbox, etc.) with it on, so we needed a better option. These suits were the perfect option. Our kitty is between sizes (we bought med & large to figure out which one fit best), so we sized down to the medium. I will say there is a HUGE size leap from medium to large. If you aren't sure of size, buy both. The medium was a bit short in length overall, so it bothered her when she walked - no actual skin irritation - just annoyed her as it was snug under her back legs. However, when we tried the large, she "escaped" in minutes. So, we stuck with the medium - not a big thing for 2 weeks. We wanted her to slow down anyway to recover.Aside from the length issue, these were great! I honestly don't know why more vets don't recommend them. The suits are cute, well made, and very soft. They are (I believe) 100% cotton. We made the mistake of washing one of them in hot water and drying on high, and it is now comically small. So, wash in warm or cold, and air dry.Overall, I was very happy being able to provide a more comfortable recovery option than the cone, while keeping her safe (and happy). 100% would recommend.

I bought these for my kitten post-spay. We really struggled with the fit and I wanted to share some tips to anyone who may be struggling. I'm a full time fit technician for apparel (for humans though!). I added a little photo illustration to clarify.-Issue: Body too short. Obviously kittens/cats come in a lot of different proportions and one size does not fit all. My girl is only 3.5 lbs and going by the size chart, the little romper i ordered was too short. This caused the neckline to be a few inches too low on her body and leghole placement to be off as well. Though it was too short, it was quite loose in the body and she's not a scrawny cat.-Fix: cut open at the bottom open seams (the short seam that secures this over a cat's bum) and add a piece of 1/2" elastic as long as you need to increase the body length. Remember to add seam allowance.-Issue: The leg holes are kinda set right on the side seams, which is not how a cat is proportioned. Think about it- the cat's back is wider than their tummy, and as sewn the tummy to back ratio is about the same. In people clothes, you may not notice but the across back of your shirt is wider than the across front, for the same reason.-Fix: If you are a home sewer, i recommend reducing the chest panel width for a better fit.-Issue: The ribbed neckline stretches out easily and my cat walked right of out this immediately.-Fix: There's an easy fix for this. If your cat wears a collar, cut a little slit in the ribbing and run their collar thru. this will prevent them from pulling it over their shoulders or their head. if your cat doesnt wear a collar (mine don't), cut a slit and run a small cord through. I used a narrow elastic in my sewing bag and secured it with a cordlock that came off a cloth face mask i don't use anymore (photo 2)-Another note- our male kitten went in to be fixed at the same time. I was told no need to get a donut/cone boys are so easy. Nope! We absolutely needed a soft donut same day and I was kicking myself for not buying in advance because you can't find them in stores (even here in Los Angeles), pretty much just online/on amazon. I cut the ribbed neckline off one of my extra surgical suits to make a donut for my male cat.If you have basic sewing/ patternmaking skills, here's how to make a donut at home:-Make a donut pattern.I traced a 10" bowl to create a circle, then traced a small ramekin (2 1/2") for the neckline. The inner hole needs to be big enough to go over your cat's head snugly (not the neck- needs to pull over the head!)-Cut 2 in a soft fabric (an old tee shirt would be great, I used scrap linen). Pin these together in at least 4 points. Circles grow easily when cut.-Right side/face side of fabric together, sew outside edge of circle (I used 3/8" seam allowance, and a regular straight stitch no overlock)-Turn right side out using the unsewn middle hole-Optional: understitch the seam allowance to one side for a clean look-Stuff your donut as desired. I gutted an old pillow but you could also use plastic bags in a pinch. Remember no to make the filling too heavy.-Pin the center hole thru both layers of self/ pushing back the stuffing to give yourself an area of seam allowance to attach the rib. Goal is to keep the stuffing out of your way when sewing.-Decide which side of your donut is the top. With the top facing up, stretch your circular ribbed neckline to fit the inner circle of your donut. Pin the cut edge, not the folded edge, to the inside.-Sew the rib to the body. Remove all pins. Cut a slit in the rib and put your cat's collar thru, or use elastic/drawcord toggle to secure.-I recommend when you put this on your cat, if you have used a toggle/elastic push it to the underside of donut/back neck of animal so it doesn't bother them.Hope this helps!

My baby cat had 2 surgerys in 1 day. I bought this the day she got home. I received it a couple days later. I was shocked with the fast shipping. This seller wasted no time and was very considerate . The outfits fit almost perfectly. If only she wasn't so long when she stretched. 2 inches to short. I got the medium. Large would have been to big. I could have made Large fit. I did cut in half the outfits add just a little material and gave ruffles. She looks so adorable in her clothes. Thanks seller for your prompt shipping. My baby kitten couldn't get warm in her head cone. You saved my little baby girl from freezing and bumping into everything. Because of you she could finally rest comfortably and rest longer because she was warm and comfortable. You are the best seller I found on Amazon. The only store that I bought from the day of purchase that sent my items bought. 3 stores delivered. You with the correct order. 2 with different products. 2 that didn't deliver and says I didn't buy. Thank God I have proof . Plus I used Klarna app. They have proof. You are a blessing. Thank you for caring about your customers. I recommend this seller.

My kittens Had their spay on Friday and both weigh 6 lbs so ordered a medium per the sizing guide. Annie the tabby cat wiggled out through the neck in 5 mins, Athena my Calico took a little longer (a few hours) but both got out through the neck. I noticed it was pretty loose, I suggest a Velcro adjustable tab there, the leg and arm holes are also pretty big and don’t seem to stay over the top joint of the legs resulting in a kitty burrito 🌯 cute but not effective at all

I got these in a medium for my 6.5 pound five-month-old kitten after spay surgery and they are great. So much better than the big, heavy plastic cone she was wearing. They fit great except for the neck hole is a bit too big, however I safety pinned it and it’s stayed on with no issues. I’ve only hand washed them, but they’ve held up well so far. And so cute. I highly recommend.

My 13 year old cat needed to get a cyst removed and wasn't adjusting well to the cone. This kept her from licking her stitches which she loved to do and cost a visit to the vet for an infection. They're a bit stretchy so she can use the litter box fine but are tight enough so she doesn't wiggle out of it. I'm hand washing them only as they're just the right size and I don't want them shrinking, but for the price they're perfect. The cute prints are a plus. Happy customer, but my cat is not impressed.
