The big rollers the lights originally came on are great... until they break. These are more compact and store well into the Christmas bins for storage. The hooks are not needed by me, but maybe others hang the holders by them?

Well, these are brilliant! They're simple, but very sturdy - much more sturdy than I was expecting - and smartly designed. They're easy to hold onto while wrapping a cord, and easy to manipulate and handle. The little serrations at each end do a great job of keeping the wraps of cord from slipping around, and the 'horns' on the corners really keep the bundled wraps of cord in place.Our Christmas lights are retro-style, with larger, ribbed light bulbs. They are a PAIN to wrap and store, and the scrap cardboard we've been using just isn't getting the job done. These storage holders are going to be fantastically effective solution to our storage problem. I will definitely be ordering more.

I very much needed this. Great way to wind up Christmas and Halloween lights and store them. I like that you can hang them. I never thought of that. Easy to use. They are a little on the small side, but you can still wind quite a bit of cable onto these.

So much better than dealing with tangled lights. Keeps them neat and organized and I was able to fit a 100 ft strand on each one.

The plastic is well-formed and the hooks are strong enough.Impressions: What a fantastic idea. Light strings can be a nightmare to store and to unwind the following season and this is the perfect organizer for smaller or thinner strings. These organizers are more than adequate for a shorter string of traditional incandescent mini lights or a longer string of LEDs with the thinner cord.I’ve used the bigger extension cord ones for the last few years and while they work, they’re kind of big for the task. I could easily fit several strands on the bigger organizers but I like to keep them separate. These organizers are the perfect size for the string lights I have-they’ll even hold the 200’ LEDs which is so convenient. There are little loops for tucking in the ends of the strands to keep the plugs tidy and to prevent unraveling.They include one S hook for each organizer in case you want to hang them. I store mine in a plastic tub so I’ll repurpose the hooks elsewhere.It’s a flat piece of plastic so maybe it’s unreasonable to be so happy to have them but it’s got all the features you need in the size that best fits most lights and it makes holiday decorating so much easier and more pleasant and keeps the lights protected for storage.That does it for me and I’m so happy to have found them. Now I can use the bigger ones I have for the billion extension cords I’ve acquired over the years.

These help store my string lights perfectly! They have neat little spots to tuck the ends of the cords to keep them nice and neat. I've even been able to get a set of net lights around these. They aren't quite as nice, but they worked for my need and wanting to keep them tidy and contained. Better than sticking them in a shopping back between seasons.The "S" hooks to hold these up somewhere are a nice addition, but I don't have anywhere to store these that way between use. I just have all my lights in a tub for storage. If I had an attic I would certainly put nails up and use the "S" hooks to keep the lights stored safely.At the time of my review this product listing is for 4 piece holiday light organizer with storage hooks and was showing a price of $12.99. This seams reasonable for the quality of the product and the fact that you get 4 organizers.
