These notebooks are definitely made for specific engineering projects, so there is a bunch of text inside that I didn’t really need (not sure if this is more relevant to people who are actual engineers), but I love the graph paper and that it’s pretty high quality! I use it for biology sketches and I like the leather feel of the cover.

A notebook with graph paper is nice to have for design and drawings, or simple data. I am using them for projects where I design and draw with increasing detail as I progress through my project. That said, this book as a bit overengineered for my purposes. I don't use all of the indexing and documentation entries that are provided. Apparently, this book has been developed for very specific usage, and perhaps it aligns with some standards of which I am unaware. Based on the instruction on the inside cover, it seems to be targeted towards documentation of engineering changes and approvals. If this is the book that you need, assuming that you know who you are, then this is probably a great product. For regular people like me, we are probably better served by a simple notebook with graph paper.The paper and binding are good enough for a long-term record. The front and back covers are neither fully flexible nor hardback. They tend to crease when you bend them. I could do without the embossed "Engineering Notebook," and I wonder what purpose that serves. It would seem to me that the supposed purpose would be better served with an external identification of a project, date, or customer, but then I am not the intended user.
