Great product for the price, not perfect but get the job done nicely. Good look in black with extremely minor details in finishing and painting; pretty easy installation. Arrived within estimated time in simple packaging.

All brackets were delivered damaged. Chips, gouged, scratched. When they made them they must of been tossed around a lot for the amount of damage. Not what you want on a new product. I expected a nice looking bracket. Not one I need to touch up with paint.

I had an oddball, non-handrail application for these where the angle adjustability feature was crucial, and they worked perfectly as I had envisioned. They are well-built, nicely finished in appearance and certainly robust in their load-carrying capability. I would also recommend mounting something like these directly into studs for long-term rigidity and safety. Once you tighten the set screws, they are indeed rigid. You just have to decide if the exposed hardware design meets your particular aesthetic, but in any case, I highly recommended these, a great product at a super reasonable price.

I chose these brackets for three reasons. One, the mounting holes are spaced far apart and I needed to install these brackets on a masonry wall. I like the mounting holes to be farther apart in masonry so when the holes are drilled they don't interfere with each other and possibly crack or destroy the adjacent hole. Two, I could mount these brackets with the tops and sides being level and plumb. Three, I really like the adjustable angle of the attachment to the handrail, very easy to attach and tighten after installation.

Now I can finally attach the railing (what used to be called a "bannister") on the stairs down to my basement. No more procrastinating. The two part bracket design will make this job a lot less complicated than I anticipated.Highly recommended!
