I bought 2" heavy duty castors and didnt notice the weight rating (my fault).... but working at a hardware store for 13 years told me and maybe it was just our policy- that heavy duty started at 500lbs for 2" but we generally didnt carry anything below 800lb... well those failed and dumped just about everything.These one the other hand are 2k rated and only $8 more per 4 pack. not only does the lock work better, theyre smoother, quieter, and have a better bearing set.only con- the wrench is meh but you need a thin profile wrench to tighten; just the one it comes with is cheap stamp cut metal thats pretty sharp on the hand and easily rounds out off the nut... if you plan to use these to level (which i couldnt because the stems are only 1" and i easily need 1.5" for my rack to put the extra nut to maintain the level or travel (moving it around and vibration) dont do it; just get another wrench or cut the jaws on one you have if you dont have the type needed (it will just become your leveling wrench- and offset wrench is generally better for this)And the one it comes with is really short- for snugging up 2k casters; its like the length of my pinky- not ideal

These would get five stars, but the nut on top hits the underside of what you're mounting to before the wider top of the bearing race. So the only contact with the mounting surface is that nut. Which is pretty small, so not much surface area. It works. The wheels are good, the locks work great. I'd buy them again. But I sure wish they mounted up flush to that bearing cap like the more expensive units do.

I bought these to replace my 40 year old casters on a Big Green Egg Nest. They were easy to install and it now rolls easy across the cement patio. These were also at a great price point and well constructed.

Look good, feel pretty beefy. We'll thats not the case. I installed these on a large cabinet. The cabinet was in a trailer with a loading ramp and wanted to be able to roll off tge trailer directly into my garadge. The cabinet weighs about 80 pounds empty and these wheels we not up to the task. All 4 failed in one way or another. Some bent others the bearings fell out of and 2 the post bent.Needless to say I couldn't get it in my garadge without removing the wheels and running to harbor freight for another set.
