I purchased this as part of a project to provide direct external venting for a floor standing air conditioning unit.After core drilling a 5" hole through the solid wall and installing a length of solid 5" duct through the wall (and capping the outside with a suitable weatherproof louver), this connector flange completes the internal wall interface where I can connect the unit (via it's flexible duct) in the summer and then cap the opening in the winter months. (I 3D printed a cap for the opening).This works great and means that I no-longer need to vent the unit through an open window (allowing more hot air into the house).Keep in mind that this is for 5" duct ~125mm not 4" ~100mm so check which one you need.

The quality is very good, but the fit is very tight. We have this on the outlet to our portable room air conditioner. we had to slightly split the flange to fit the 6" vent into it.

Needed this type of flange for a lint box I was building for an outdoor dryer. Works great. Made of regular plastic, somewhat bendable, not PVC, in case that's important to you.

My dryer vents through the floor of my mudroom and then outside. I purchased this connector flange because any movement of the dryer would pull the vent pipe stub-up out of the floor. The flange diameter made it a little difficult to get inside of the 4" vent pipe in my floor (a tapered end would have been helpful). Beyond that, installation was easy and has solved the problem.

Replaced our floor so we had to make a new opening for our dryer vent. The opening was a little large but using this made it perfect with no gaps at all.
