These things are super complicated to wire and it worked long enough for the return window to close but from the jump I’d have my trailer break lights flicker while my truck was off and then 2 months after that the trailer brakes were seemingly going in and out and now the thing doesn’t work at all. Nothing has happened and I don’t use the trailer daily so it seems impossible things would fall apart that quickly. Very disappointing

The build quality of this extension appears to be excellent. For that I would give it five stars. That the maker chose to use non-standard wire colors is inexcusable and baffling - as other reviewers have noted. For that I knocked off a star. I was able to get everything hooked up okay be comparing Gubrdfrsod's specs with the colors everyone else in the world uses. That was a needless, time-wasting task, but it all worked out. I now have it hooked up and it works great.

Used to replace the front end connection on 2000 trailer. A good cable with high flexibility. It was a slightly larger od so I had to drill out the holes. It comes with a end cap which I found to retain moisture so it stays off. I just used dielectric on the terminals to keep moisture and dirt oit.

Just installed it and it is well made and a good solid fit in th socket. Can't speak to its durability as I just installed it. Time will tell but I don't expect any issues. Wire size is on the larger side if that's what you are looking for. Ground wire is a #12 and others are #14

They pins and colors aren’t correct to a standard 7pin…but whatever works fine.
