Assembly was easy, all parts were labeled and the quality of the product is good. Very nice cabinet.

Definitely not for office or frequent use. The drawers do not open far enough to put a file in or out without some serious effort. Only one side of the drawer is secured to the frame. Having already assembled mine, I might recommend not attaching them so you could complete remove a drawer, making access easier.Definitely cheap. Had a few parts not line up straight but hey, you get what you pay for. Definitely get it on a sale though.

While I ended up liking this cabinet there were a few issues with it (some my fault and some because, while this is a nice cabinet, overall it isn't a very sturdy one). First off, after the box arrived, thinking my husband would put this item right together I took all the parts out of the box, along with the instructions and left them sitting in a pile. However my husband got busy with other things (as did I) and the pile was forgotten about- and somehow the instructions were lost. This turned out to be a very bad thing because there were too many parts to puzzle out how to put the item together without the instructions and I couldn't find anything like this item online to help me figure out how to put the cabinet together. In the end though, my husband buckled down and figured out what to do (after looking at all the many parts and figuring out how they would go together), along with having found a page of these instructions (luckily) that had been posted along with a review of this item- all of this helped us figure out how to put this cabinet together. When the item was together, I was happy with it- and while I thought it would definitely be an item that could handle the things I wanted it to handle- basically storing paperwork- so I could now file away papers that I needed to keep and get to when I needed. And the cabinets are definitely easy to organize. And even though the drawers were collapsible (which means they aren’t 100% sturdy however still functional), they still function well enough to be able to allow me to easily organize and find paperwork I need.Overall, while this cabinet wasn’t easy to put together- and, even with the instructions I think there are a lot of parts for this cabinet system (I like when furniture, no matter the size, is boiled down by the manufacturer to be built with the least amounts of pieces and screws/ bolts)- this cabinet does provide the functions I need for paperwork. Plus the collapsable drawers are kind of cool- when I thought that I would never be able to put this item together, having lost the directions, I thought I could just use the collapsable drawers as storage. That’s a good thing about this item too- that after you are finished using it as a file cabinet- maybe after a couple years, or a decade or two (however long you want to use the cabinet)- as long as you took care of this item, even in the smallest of ways- you’ll probably be able to keep the two drawers and use them to store items in.Collapsible drawers are always nice because when you aren’t using them, they take up very little space. I don’t know how many storage containers I have gotten rid of when I got rid of the items that are being stored inside. There are so many times when clearing out those big storage containers I would just get rid of the container too- not having the space for it. So the first time I got collapsable storage containers I thought they were ingenious. So even though these drawers will be used for my file cabinet while I want one- one day I think they’ll look great in my closet- holding items there.

A lot of parts to assemble but the directions are good. I would have rather the slide out drawers be completely solid material instead of fabric. I recommend leaving the drawer slide clamps off. It will stop the drawer but not completely because there are only one per drawer and it causes it to open cockeyed. Also the file cross-rods are held in by gravity and basically unsecured. Your files will sit sideways (longitudinally) and not across which doesn't make much sense. Overall, it is attractive and should go with most of your furniture. My wife uses it to hold crochet materials.

This was pretty easy to put together and took around 30 minutes. The cloth drawers look like real wood and overall it's sturdy.Negative points: Punched holes for various screws were often rough or had stuff stuck in them. Top piece is two pieces, so it slopes left and right away from the center.Positives: They give you extras of all the screws, nuts, dowels, etc. There's little attachments to stop the drawers from pulling out all the way. It looks really nice. Feet can be individually leveled.

It came package well. Lots of padding and corner protectors. My main issue is that I was sent an incorrect part in the box. There are three main supports (labelled #2, #3, and #4 in the instructions). I received two #4 and no #2 - the result is that when assembled, I could not open one of the drawers. I was able fix it with a hacksaw.PROS:* Cheap (price)* Very lightweight* Strong enough shell that you can stack stuff on top of it* Looks ok from a distanceCONS:* Cheap (looking). Uneven laminate particle board and fabric drawers with wood veneer.* Fabric drawers are not very stable* If you use the included drawer stops, then the drawers don't pull out enough to easily files in/out.* Files are not stored horizontally when opening the drawers, so you have to turn your head/body sideways to flip through them.

I have learned to read the advertisements very carefully, especially where size is concerned.I would suggest that you pay attention to that with this product.I like it because it takes care of the organization of papers on my desk. It’s easy to assemble. Easy to use. I’m not sure about the durability, but only time will tell.

I got this becasue I wanted an area to store things under my desk and possibly put my printer on. The drawers once put together are sturdy and cute, I am still shocked the front is cloth as it matches my desk perfectly. The only part that is fabric are the pull out drawers however they are very sturdy with the added support of the bars that can hold files. The top of the drawers can easily hold a printer as it very stable. My only minor thing and why this is not four stars iis one of the fabric drawers the board for the front where the manufacturer puntured the hole for the bars that hold the file was a bit caved but nothing too bad once I put the bar on and the screw clasp it sealed that up so it is not visible and made it sturdy again so I do not think it was a big deal.
